Safety Town is a program geared for children entering kindergarten. With that said, children entering first grade are not too old, but a 4 year old is too young.
Price:
$125 per child
We do not issue refunds after June 1st.
What else do you need to know?
You will receive a confirmation letter in the mail or by email a few weeks before Safety Town begins to let you know what class your child will be in. We place children according to where they will be attending kindergarten in the fall. No changes will be made once class assignments have been done. If for any reason you need your child with a certain person please inform us ASAP or note that on your registration form. Keep in mind some schools have enough children registered to fill two classes. A map of the school showing the location of classrooms and the drop off area will be enclosed with the confirmation letter.
Snacks: For 2024, It will be necessary for your child to bring their own snack and water bottle everyday.
Attire: Comfortable play clothes, but we would appreciate shoes that are good for playing outside and are secure on their feet – Crocs and flip-flops end up everywhere! Children can wear their SafetyTown t shirt anytime, but we ask that the children wear their Safety Town T-shirt on the last day.
Please help your child learn their name, address and phone number. Look at the address label on your confirmation letter and email wendy@centralarksafetytown.com to make any corrections or changes. These letter will go out in June..
Information: We will email a sheet everyday that tells you what we covered so you can reinforce at home.
Drop-off & Pick-up: Drop off outside starts on the first day. We have teen volunteers who will walk your child to their classroom. To pick up, the parent will come into the school to get their child from the classroom. More info on that as we get closer to the summer.
You will need to sign your child out when you pick up. We will allow your child to be picked up by someone other than you ONLY IF THE TEACHER HAS A NOTE FROM YOU FOR THAT DAY. This is safer and less confusing for all of us including the children.
Graduation will be at 11:30 on Friday, June 28th. Details to be given out later.
